Julia is a 2025 Film Independent Fellow with the feature This is Me Loving You, an intimate portrait revealing the intersection of addiction and domestic abuse that begins in a Chicago recovery home where she lived for over two years.

In 2023, Julia joined Big C Creative to direct Gertrude, a documentary produced by Christina Shaver exploring the surrealist painter Gertrude Abercrombie’s tumultuous life and posthumous rise.
Julia lives in Chicago with her cat, Hazard. She is currently looking for a hobby, per the advice of concerned friends.
